To Motivate Young People To Be Better Citizens
Our JROTC Program goal is to provide a structured environment while using the most current teaching methods and classroom dynamics to motivate and develop our students into future Leaders and better Citizens through "Academic Excellence".
Our JROTC Curriculum is nationally accredited by the North Central Commission on accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI) both accreditation divisions of AdvanceED.
JROTC Teacher-Certification
Our JROTC teachers are retired Army Leaders and Provisionally certified by the Texas Education Agency.
JROTC Instructor-Certification
JROTC teachers must also meet and maintain Cadet Command Instructor certifications through evaluations conducted by JROTC School of Cadet Command (JSOCC) at Fort Knox, KY. They must graduate from a resident 5 day-Army JROTC "curriculum introductory and certification course", the JSOCC Basic Instructor Course; and following each 5 years of teaching, graduate from a 5 day resident Army JROTC "curriculum intensive re-certification course", the JSOCC Advanced Instructor Course.
Purpose of JSOCC Certification
JSOCC Certification ensures all JROTC teachers nationwide are capable at presenting topics and "mapping curriculum" using the most "dynamic" teaching trends, the latest in technology based instruction, and effective teaching methodologies. Emphasis is placed on efficient classroom management, facilitating a "student-centered" learning environment and "brain compatible learning" using a four phased lesson plan where students at “differentiated learning levels” can collaboratively "Inquire, Gather, Process and Apply" lessons.
