Colonel Dykstra teaches LET 3s and 4s. He graduated from the U.S. Military Academy in 1982 and was commissioned into the Infantry; he is an Airborne Ranger. Colonel Dykstra served over 32 years cumulatively in the active Army (13 years), Army National Guard (13 years) and Army Reserve (7 years), retiring in 2015. He started teaching JROTC with Amon Carter-Riverside HS in 2019.
Colonel Dykstra has a bachelor's degree and two masters.

Sergeant First Class (SFC) Castro-Aybar teaches LET 1s and 2s. He enlisted in the Army in 1984 in the field artillery. He progressed through the ranks to the rank of Sergeant First Class and retired in 2005. He started teaching at Amon Carter-Riverside in 2005.
