So, in an effort to go paperless and make some positive change to the pollution issues in the world, we have transitioned to a digital, online Permission Form system referred to as the Excursion Management Application or EMA for short
Now the TDSB has only been using EMA for a short time and, while the possibilities are incredible in terms of convenience and communication, there are still a few rough patches we need to "sand smooth" so to speak! So, if you have any questions or concerns about an upcoming trip, please reach out right away.
I have included the instructions below AND a link to the PDF version so that you can save it and check it out at a later date.
To use the EMA parents/guardians first need to create an account. When you create an account, you will need to know your child’s student number as well as the email address for the parent that we have on file at the school, as well as the postal code that we have for the home address. Once you have an account you can review sports teams or field trips that your child may be participating in and “sign” the permission form electronically.
The Excursion Management Application (EMA) is a web-based application which will allow Parents/Guardians to complete field trip (or excursion) permission (or information - as it’s in the video), athletic forms and Medical Information forms online. This step-by-step Reference Guide will assist Parents/Guardians on how to successfully Login to EMA.
To start the login process, open a browser and navigate to:
URL: https://parent.ema.tdsb.on.ca/
Click the purple “Login” button at the bottom of the page to access the Login page.
Enter the email address that is registered on file at your child’s school and was used during the account creation process.
Enter the “Password” which you created during the account creation process.
Click the “Sign In” button.
Once logged into the Excursion Management Application, you will have access to all children associated with that email address.
