This course focuses on the professional standards and the development of the student’s design and production skills. The course will also focus on marketing, distribution techniques, and publishing protocol. During the course of the semester students will be involved in: theme development, publication organization, journalism, photo journalism, editing, sales and marketing, the production of the Albert Campbell yearbook and other school media products using industry standard software applications. The course is a wonderful introduction to the standards of work and the skill set expected in the marketplace and other post-secondary settings. Best of all, students are given the opportunity to contribute their efforts and ideas to the school yearbook.
NOTE: The prerequisite to take this course is Grade 9 Art (AVI 101), Grade 10 Art (AVI 201), and/or Grade 10 Media Art (ASM 201)
