Password Reset

The TDSB has introduced a new network password policy for both students and staff. Effective immediately, new passwords must meet the following criteria:

• Must not contain your first or last name

• Must be a minimum of 8 characters

• Must be different than last 5 passwords

• Must contain 3 of the following 4 criteria:

  • Uppercase character(s)

  • Lowercase character(s)

  • Number(s)

  • Special character(s)

Passwords for students and staff expire after 180 and 90 days, respectively.

• Before forgetting your password, setup security questions here: https://pmgr.tdsb.on.ca/PMUser/ 

• If your security questions are setup, you can use the same link above to reset your own password by answering your security questions correctly 

• Alternatively, students can ask a staff member to have their password reset

Shared Secret Password

Passwords reset to the shared secret password use the template SSSSDDMM@Tdsb where:

• SSSS stands for the last 4 digits of your student number (for students) or your social insurance number (for staff)

• DD stands for your day of birth

• MM stands for your month of birth
