The students recently painted beautiful winter scenes with the Northern Lights. First, they sketched their trees and their horizon line. Next, the did a wash for the sky and then blended some bright colours together. Next, they painted trees in the background, and then they painted black trees in the foreground to give the illusion of depth. Finally, they added some accents on the show for shadows, and then with a toothbrush, they sprinkled some white paint for the snow.
The students learned that art is a process and sometimes it can take a few days to finish a work of art. Check out their beautiful paintings below!
