Mackenzie Specific Supports

Introducing.....

Ari Blatt:

Mackenzie's very own School Social Worker

HI! My name is Ari Blatt and I am the school social worker at Mackenzie.

I can get involved in supporting students and families who may be dealing with a wide range of issues. This could include, but isn’t limited to, mental health or emotional well-being concerns, various family issues, as well as social concerns.

School social work services are voluntary on the part of the student or family and services are confidential. Social work services may include direct counselling…short or longer term, or I can help direct to appropriate community services.

During regular non-COVID times, I am physically located at the school about 1 day per week. While I still spend some time at the school, I can meet with students or families either virtually or by phone.

If you are interested in school social work services or just want to speak with me more, please contact your guidance counsellor

Jodi Price:

Mackenzie's very own Child & Youth Worker

Hey! I'm Jodi, the Youth Worker at Mackenzie.

My role at Mackenzie is to support students with any social, emotional or behaviour needs.

What does this even mean!?

Basically I can support students with many needs outside of their academics. CYWs typically work with young people and their families with all types of stuff going on in their lives. Things like: family, friends, school, teachers, mood & stress just to name a few.

I am in the building on Monday, Wednesday and every second Friday. I can connect in a variety of ways with students both virtually and in-person (safety protocols always in place). Please fill out the form below or email me at jodi.price@tdsb.on.ca to connect
