Timetables
Timetables will be released via the TDSB Connects app towards the end of day on Friday August 29th.
NEW students to TDSB will not be able to log into the app till after they start school and sometimes there are technical issues where returning students can’t access their timetable either. We don’t have the ability to solve those tech issues so we’ll post a list of every student’s first class on the first day. When you arrive at school, check the list outside the main office so you know where to go. Usually by the second day, the glitches are sorted. The main office can print a timetable for you and we'll have printed copies of timetables for new to TDSB students in the guidance office on the first day.
Course Change Requests/Dropping a Course
The deadline to request a course change was June 13th and we were able to complete over 200 changes before the end of the school year. If you don’t see the change you were hoping for, it’s because it wasn’t possible due to space or timetable conflicts… we tried!
Reminder that if you were scheduled in one of your primary or alternate course requests, the only changes to sem I timetables that will be considered are those due to extenuating circumstances . In addition…most of our courses are full, so changes are simply not possible.
Extenuating circumstance where students are scheduled in a course they’ve already taken or a course they don’t have a prerequisite for. In some cases, we might be able to make a change if a course is needed for post-secondary provided there is space in a course that fits on your timetable.
To request a sem I timetable change due to an extenuating circumstance, you can fill out this Course Change Form by September 12th. We’ll be working through change requests for extenuating circumstances over the first few weeks of school, and will reach out only if a change is possible.
Grade 12 students wanting to drop a course can use the same Course Change Form to submit the request. FYI the deadline to drop a course (Full Disclosure Date) is after the first report card.
Students will have all of sem I to speak to counsellors about sem II timetable changes. Do note that even sem II courses are mostly full.
Summer School
If you took a TDSB course, your transcript will be updated automatically and we are adjusting your timetable to the best of our ability.
If you took a NON TDSB course, you must forward your FINAL report card to your counsellor so the course can be added to your transcript.
