After TDSB and other public, English Language school board Immersion students are scheduled, if there is space and you live in Harbord's French Immersion catchment, we can offer a spot in out Immersion Program. In most cases we will not be able to confirm availability until after the start of the school year.
Some students who live in Harbord's English catchment choose to enroll in our English program and then transfer into Immersion if space is available in the first few weeks of school knowing that if space isn't available, they would continue in the English program.
Other students (those who don't live in our English catchment) may choose to register and attend their Francophone high school and could then register with TDSB to attend Harbord if/when a space becomes available in our Immersion program.
Feel free to check in with us about availability towards the end of June and again after the first week of September. Note that is is highly unlikely we would know whether or not we have space by the end of June. In most cases this becomes evident after the first week or two of school.
See the section immediately below for information on how a Non-TDSB student would register at Harbord.
Students currently NOT ATTENDING a TDSB school who live in our catchment must begin the registration process on the TDSB registration webpage.
Please note: Registration for the new school year will begin in January. This TDSB video is a helpful resource that goes through the process.
You must upload supporting documents (proof of address, etc.) to prove eligibility before registration is possible. The TDSB is very clear about the documentation required; providing incomplete information will delay and possibly impact the registration process.
Documents will be reviewed, and our Guidance Office Administrator will contact you if more information is needed. If all document requirements have been met, we will contact you to book a registration appointment with a guidance counsellor.
Registrations can take place until the end of June and will begin again at the end of August.

Students attending ANOTHER TDSB high school who live in our catchment must speak to their current Vice Principal to initiate a VP to VP transfer between schools.
