The TDSB has designated Harbord as CLOSED to Out-of-Area Admissions.
TDSB policy is that students who don’t live in catchment or aren’t in our French Immersion pathway cannot apply to, or attend Harbord.

2024-2025 COURSE REQUESTS/SELECTIONS FOR GRADE 8 STUDENTS ENTERING HIGH SCHOOL
Eligible grade 8 students in TDSB schools will submit grade 9 course selections through my Blueprint by Feb. 26th 2024 with help from their grade 8 school. Non TDSB students will submit course requests to HCI counsellors during their registration meeting.
Grade 9 students coming to Harbord must choose 8 courses plus 2 alternative choices. Please see the info below for courses specific to Harbord.

Regular Program

Look up course codes here or in myBlueprint.
Students must choose: ENL1W, MTH1W1, SNC1W1, CGC1W1, FSF1D1 (if you have less than 600 hours of previous Core French, choose FSF1O1), Phys. Ed**
Choose one Arts course: NAC1O1 (Visual Art), AMI1O*, AMS1O*, AMV1O, ADA1O1
Choose one other elective: TGJ1O1, GLE1O9, GLS1O1, LWGB, LWPB, LWSB
Indicate two alternate choices from the Arts and other elective courses.
**PPL1OF (Female identified), PPL1OM (Male identified), or PAF1O1 (All Gender)
*AMI/AMS/AMV: 1O1 for Experienced Music (2+ years playing an instrument), 1O2 for Beginner Music
French Immersion Program

Immersion students must choose: ENL1W, MTH1W1, SNC1W1, FIF1D5, CGC1W5, TGJ1O5, Phys. Ed**
From the following courses, choose one elective and indicate two alternate choices: NAC1O1 (Visual Art), AMI1O*, AMS1O*, AMV1O, ADA1O1, GLE1O9, GLS1O, LWGB, LWPB, LWSB
**PPL1OF (Female identified), PPL1OM (Male identified), or PAF1O1 (All Gender)

If you don’t plan to continue in French Immersion we advise you to inform your current school in writing and double check your Harbord timetable in September; do not assume that simply choosing all English courses will be sufficient.
Reminder that you must live in our catchment to attend our REGULAR PROGRAM.
MST: Coding and Design Certificate
Students wishing to take part in this program must choose TGJ1O in grade 9

Summer School 2023
GLD2O1 – Discovering the Workplace is the only course being offered by the TDSB for Grade 8 Reach-Ahead
The Grade 8 Reach Ahead Summer Program is open to students entering a grade 9 TDSB Secondary school in September
Students can take GLD2O through either the Continuing Education or eLearning departments
