Schedule Changes

Important Information to Students and Parents/Guardians

• Teacher request changes will not be approved

• Schedules will not be changed more than one time

• Additional consultation with administration or teachers will be used if necessary

• Emails and calls will not be accepted as a change request, form only. We want this process to remain fair for all students.

• Forms are processed in the order counselors receive them.  Do NOT move to another course until the counselor has met with you.

• Given our attention to meeting educational needs, we will not address change requests due to personality conflicts, teacher requests, or lunch preference. 

1st Semester Change Requests:

Completed and eligible schedule change forms submitted to Guidance will be accepted during the first 3 days only.  

2nd Semester Change Requests:

Completed and eligible schedule change forms submitted to Guidance will be accepted until the end of the 1st quarter only. 

Valid Reasons for Changes

Schedule change must meet at least one of the following:

• Student lacks the required prerequisite for the course

• Scheduled courses are in the incorrect sequence (e.g. French III before French II)

• Student needs to register for a course he/she failed during the previous semester

• Need to change a core course level (standard to honors, etc)

• Student is missing course needed for graduation

• Issue with a Blue Ridge Community College or Brevard College course
