Use the document linked below to learn how to course create a 3 credit concentration which is required for graduation. By the end of sophomore year, they should have a solid idea of at least one concentration they plan to complete.

Audition and Special Admissions

North Carolina School of Science and Math
NCSSM Interactive Video Conferencing (IVC) course offerings are outlined in the Course Guide. These tuition free courses are taught by NCSSM instructors virtually and students would be seated at BHS in an online learning environment. See course offerings in the Course Guide.
North Carolina Virtual Public School (NCVPS)
Fully online courses taught by NCVPS instructors. Students may find additional foreign languages or other electives. Most courses will be scheduled to be taken in our Distance Learning Lab. We do not schedule NCVPS courses to replace courses taught at BHS. See course offerings at www.ncvps.org.
Blue Ridge Community College (Career and College Promise)
Juniors and seniors may explore courses offered through BRCC. Students must meet eligibility requirements. Students interested must submit the BRCC application which are available in Guidance. Course(s) will not be scheduled until cleared by BRCC. Courses are tuition free but students do pay for textbooks, materials and fees as required per course. 2024-2025 CCP Course Offerings
Brevard College
Brevard College offers courses for qualified high school students at minimal cost. Students must apply using the online Brevard College application and meet eligibility requirements. Students must apply online on the Brevard College website. Courses will not be scheduled until cleared by BC. See all course offerings on the Brevard College website in the course catalog.
Students would be limited to courses that align within the BHS block schedule. Per Brevard College, students are limited to (2) courses per semester and must be 100 level courses.
