A: Student Services is open Monday through Friday from 7:30am until 3:30pm when school is in session. Additional hours are available if you need an appointment at a time other than our regular hours.

Q: How do I know which counselor is mine?

A: You will have an assigned counselor when you enter the high school. This counselor will follow you through all four years of high school. Ms. Brinke is the counselor for students with the last name A-K. Ms. Byrd is the counselor for students with the last names L-Z. These counselor assignments will not change.

Q: Why do I have to see a specific counselor?

A: We find that it's very helpful when both a student and their counselor have a long lasting relationship. Your counselor can better advise you when you are selecting courses to take at the high school, prepare career avenues for you to consider, suggest post-secondary options for you to explore, and write effective recommendations for you when they have consistently worked during the four years.

Q: Do I need to make an appointment to see my counselor?

A: No, but when you do make an appointment you are guaranteed to see your counselor at a specific time. We highly encourage parents and students to email us anytime to schedule an appointment!

You must have a parent signature on this form, and return it to your counselor as soon as possible within the change adjustment period.  Adjustments will only be made within the first 3 days of the first semester or through the end of 1st quarter (approx. end of October) for second semester only changes, and only if there is availability in the course desired and it meets a valid change reason as well as your graduation requirements.
