Standard: 7.ESS3.1
Graphically represent the composition of the atmosphere as a mixture of gases and discuss the potential for atmospheric change.
Day one-
The Earth's atmosphere does the following things:
1. Keeps our planet warm
2. protects us from harmful UV radiation
3. Deflects meteorites from hitting the planet
According to NASA, the gases in Earth's atmosphere include:
Nitrogen — 78 percent.
Oxygen — 21 percent.
Argon — 0.93 percent.
Carbon dioxide — 0.04 percent.
Trace amounts of neon, helium, methane, krypton and hydrogen, as well as water vapor.
