What is your favorite part about using Technology?

"I love everything about technology. It gives us so many resources. We can take our kids anywhere in the world at the click of a button."

What is a new program or activity you are using that other teachers might like to try?

"I am working on learning all the wonderful uses in Google Suite. I am using the Flippity application to make crosswords, learning games and flash cards for review. The Google Slides is an awesome way to present my interactive lessons. I have been taking all my Professional Development classes in Google Classroom. It has been so easy to learn and the kids will love using this method. I think this is going to be a wonderful resource for our teachers and students to use."

October is National Cyber Security Month. Check out these tips to help you stay safe!

• Create secure passwords

• Sign out of email and other accounts especially on computers used by multiple people.

• Lock your door when you leave your classroom.

• Beware of Phishing scams. These emails will look like they are coming from a familiar account but could contain links and attachments that could steal your information. (Do not click on these threats). These usually come from email addresses that have already been compromised.

• If you feel you have been hacked, change your password immediately and notify your ITRT or Hardware Tech in your area.
