What is your favorite part about using Technology?
My favorite part about using technology in the classroom is it keeps the students interested. It can provide access to all types of learners: visual, auditory, and kinesthetic by using the SMARTboard.
What is a new program or activity you are using that other teachers might like to try?
My students have really enjoyed using Prodigy Math. I like that it collects data and tracks improvement. They enjoy Prodigy Math because they can collect badges along the way during their journey. Prodigy is very much like a video game. My kids also really enjoy using the following apps: Solar Walk, Dinosaur Walk, Monster Math, Geo Walk, and Letter Soup.
How can regular ed teachers use technology in their classes to help students with accommodations?
Regular education teachers can help students by integrating learning activities that allow students to have appropriate cuing. Videos about a topic can provide visual and auditory stimulation, while using interactive games or worksheets can provide the hands-on input needed to help maintain focus on the lesson.
