To be honest, I was very disappointed with this book. The title gave me high expectations, but I didn't find many new strategies that we aren't already doing. I also got tired of the "in Finland, teachers...while in America, teachers..." writing style, especially since some of the "in America" examples seemed like very traditional teachers. I finished the book wondering if I'd really had an overview of Finnish teaching or just a small snapshot of one school seen through a particular point of view.
