Bitmoji Alternatives for Students
Freemium site that gives you 25 different avatar categories (skin tone, eye color, headgear, etc.) to adjust. Log in with Google, Facebook, or Microsoft. Download headshot or full pose as well as make a comic.
No log in needed. Place your avatar on a scene. Wimp your whole family. Take a photo in your scene. You will need to screenshot your avatar. Limited tool but great if you read the Wimpy Kid books.
No log in required. Choose from different options. Take a quiz to identify your superpower! You can download your avatar but it has a background.
No log in required. Choose male or female and then select from categories! I recommend using the randomizer button and then tweak as needed. Just headshots.
No need to create a log in if you can screenshot your avatar. A little clunky. More choices if you create a log in.
Make a Superhero!
Use one of these links to create an avatar. You don't get all the poses but kids might enjoy being a super hero!
You might want to check out @RamonaMeharg presentation on Comics in the Classroom for additional ideas on getting bitmojis/avatars, scenes, etc. for students.
STUDENTS USING BITMOJIS
Once students have a bitmoji made (or you've helped them through the process of designing one, use a few of these ideas to allow them to start using their bitmoji and customize their work!
Have student use bitmojis to:
respond to daily check-ins
create a portfolio of their work

bitmoji furniture, scenes, and supplies

Sneak from the Published Preso to the Google Slide Version
If you come across a published presentation, you'll notice it ends with htmlpresent. Remove that last bit from the URL and you'll get the Google Slide version. You can now explore, download, and/or make a copy. Other endings to remove might include template/preview or mobilepresent?slide=id.(and then some digits).
Remove Background Tools
Canva Color Wheel - Pick a color and then have the wheel give you various color combinations (complementary, monochromatic, analogous, triadic, or tetradic).
Consider joining this FB group to find resources, ask questions, and share ideas for the classroom!
Can't find a bitmoji with the words you want, then type (paste) the words to see it generated with random images. Repeat as often as needed!
