In order to graduate you must complete 40 hours of Community Service. Please fill out the following form to track your hours and submit the to your Guidance Counsellor.
The Freshman Forty Challenge began November 2015 here at SJPII to encourage our new Grade 9 students to complete their forty hours of community service prior to the end of their first year of High School. Students are presented with various opportunities to obtain hours through teacher-led activities as well as being encouraged to volunteer in their local parishes and communities. All students who obtain their 40 hours are invited to our annual Freshman Forty Breakfast and Awards Ceremony, where they are presented with a certificate and a pin to commemorate their success.
Our peer-tutoring program is run by senior students who provide one-on-one tutoring to students requesting additional help. We have partnered with License to Learn, a charitable organization which aims to help children and youth achieve their full potential as students and future leaders. Our student tutors are trained to not only support their peers academically, but to have empathy and build skills in leadership and mentorship.
