Kathy Stevens was a member of the Alpha Delta Chapter of Tau Beta Sigma at Ohio University. From the beginning, Kathy was a leader in our organization. She was an outstanding Active member and continued her career as Counselor of District VII until 1984. The brothers of District VII (NCD) gave Kathy the gift of Honorary Membership to Kappa Kappa Psi. She was also made an Honorary of the Alpha Mu Chapter of Wichita State in 1987. After relocating to the Midwest District, she continued her involvement with Tau Beta Sigma and served as a member of the Board of Trustees from 1983-1987. After a struggle with cancer, Kathy passed away September 5, 1989 in Wichita, Kansas. Throughout her career in Tau Beta Sigma, she truly exemplified the purposes and ideals of our organization through her continued leadership and service.
This Award is designed to recognize outstanding individuals like Kathy Stevens who have continued their service to Tau Beta Sigma and bands at least five years beyond their undergraduate careers. The recipient of this award will be chosen by a panel of individuals selected by the NCD Counselor(s). The award will be presented at the District Convention banquet.
Nominee is an individual who has continued their service to the Sorority at least five years beyond their undergraduate career.Â
