The Counselors’ Servant Leadership Award is modeled after the unique accomplishments of Carolyn McCambridge. Throughout her involvement in Tau Beta Sigma, Carolyn served as Chapter Recording Secretary and Vice President of Membership, District Vice President of Membership, and a National Chapter Field Representative . She then served as the North Central District Counselor from 2006-2012; on the Tau Beta Sigma Board of Trustees from 2013-2017, 2017-2019; and as Chair of the Board of Trustees from 2019-2021. Throughout her extensive career in Tau Beta Sigma, Carolyn visited Chapters from coast to coast, mentored countless individuals, and empowered over 26 North Central District officers to accomplish their unique goals and develop into servant-leaders.
This award exists to recognize individuals like Carolyn who have such a desire to serve that they cannot help but become a leader. Applications should address the nominee's ability to develop other sisters' into leaders, fostering of the Tau Beta Sigma National Mission and Vision Statement, and their outstanding contributions made to their collegiate bands. These qualities are an embodiment of the leadership, service, and character we strive for in Tau Beta Sigma, and we seek to recognize persons who exemplify these outstanding traits. The recipient of this award will be chosen at the discretion of the District Counselors, Counselors’ Cup Panel, and the National Officers present at District Convention. The award will be presented at the District Convention banquet.
Nominee is a graduating senior and Active Sister in good standing with the Sorority.
