Primary FOBISIA Games
The Primary FOBISIA Yetis had a fantastic tour to Phuket to participate in the friendly games. 23 Year 5&6 students competed in TeeBall, Swimming, Athletics and Football. On the first day of competition, students were in the pool for a morning meet where they made their first podium appearances and in the afternoon TBS won a huge number of medals in Athletics, dominating the long distance running and also doing well in the field events. The TeeBall event was highly competitive and both TBS teams displayed brilliant batting and fielding skills. The highly anticipated Football tournament was on the final day proved to be a very successful one for our Yetis; TBS took silver place position in both the A and B Boys division. Well done to the entire squad who, despite the thunderstorms and tough conditions, performed amazingly and represented TBS with pride!
Week 3- Thanks to all parents for submitting passports, travel insurance and necessary items prior to departure. Reminder that any medicines to be given to Ms. Malla on Monday morning!

Reminder for travel insurance, due 20th April .
Parent/Student Information meeting: A meeting for for all parents and travelling students will be held at TBS in the Secondary Library at 3.45pm on Wednesday 18th April. This meeting will serve as an opportunity to review the itinerary, finalise all documentation & medical supplies and answer any questions you may have.
Packing:
The luggage limit is 1 suitcase (max 25KG) and 1 small piece of hand luggage. Please put names and school name on both bags. There should be no sharp objects or liquids/creams/gels in hand luggage. There will be light meals on the flights, and we will have dinner when we arrive in Bangkok airport but students may pack some snacks if they wish. Pupils who suffer from travel sickness should take the appropriate medication before departure.

Medical insurance - Please note that international medical insurance is compulsory. We will be requesting a copy of this before we travel. If you do not have medical insurance you must obtain cover from a local provider for the duration of the trip. I would recommend obtaining insurance for slightly longer than the actual trip dates to cover for any possible travel delays.
TERM 3 CLUBS
We will start FOBISIA team practices from Week 1, Term 4. All squad members must attend the designated clubs. This term, students should attend Athletics/Tee-Ball Club and Team or Development Football where possible. Please speak to Mrs. Malla if you are unsure about which clubs to attend.

30th April-5th May 2018 PHUKET
TBS will enter a team in the Primary FOBISIA games which will take place during Term 4. For our team selection process we will observe the guidelines as outlined by FOBISIA (please see the extract below). We will select our teams based on performance, behaviour and attitude in clubs and Physical Education classes. There will be a club offered in Term 3 to assist students improve their Athletic and T-Ball skills. Attendance at this club does not guarantee selection and likewise non-attendance at this club does not mean exclusion from the selection process.

"PRIMARY FOBISIA GUIDELINES 2017-2018 ACADEMIC YEAR
Primary FOBISIA Sports/Friendly Games: Primary level competitions are organised based on the age groups below. Students will compete in their respective age groups. It is possible for students to play up to represent their age group. For 2017-18 Competition Under 10 Born on 1st August 2007 or later. under 11 Born on 1st July 2006 or later, Note - Students attending Year 7 cannot participate in the Primary Friendly Games.
The majority of the swimming (apart from a few open age events such as C races and the 100IMs) and all of the athletics is run in age groups ie Y6 and Y5
The Tee ball and Football will remain ability based with an A and a B Team for football where numbers allow and A, B, C and D teams for Tee Ball again where numbers allow.
