Why does this website Exist?

    • This website exists to provide resources for continuous improvement facilitators at all levels (building, district, ISD/ESA) as they work to intentionally improve district systems in support of student achievement.

    • Its creators are committed to consistent use and corresponding adjustment of posted resources based on authentic implementation and feedback from the field, as well as the most current research.

Who is the intended user of this website?

    • This website is meant to be utilized by any facilitator of the continuous improvement process at the building, district, or ISD level. Resources are designed to support self-assessment of necessary competencies prior to utilization, as well as to scaffold increases in content knowledge and skills.

What are its functions?

    • To aggregate and supply the most current and effective tools, training materials, and implementation supports aligned to the processes in Continuous Improvement Cycle for efficient and effective field use.

    • To gather and apply meaningful feedback from ISDs, districts, and buildings actually implementing MICIP in real time.

    • To create a dynamic interface for Continuous Improvement resources, increasing facilitator readiness and effectiveness.

How does it relate to other supports available for micip

    • Developers consulted and/or integrated a variety of available resources from the Michigan Department of Education (MDE).

    • Developers hold regular conversations with other regional and state-level organizations to ensure alignment of messaging, resources, and further collaborative efforts. This site is also listed on the MDE MICIP Resource Site.
