Nui's Heroes

Our kaupapa is about volunteering our time to the local community and reflecting on how our actions can have a positive  affect on our Hauora (well being). We developed relationships with Greening Taupo, Taupo Timebank Community Gardens, Taupo RDA, Liston Heights and St Johns Retirement village. 

Students were able to log their volunteering time in order to sign off the service sector for their achievers award. We also learnt how to create a Social CV for any future volunteering they choose to do.  This course was designed to create a passion for volunteering , build community relationships and gain life long skills to continue this journey into the future and around the world.
