Below are learning opportunities, activities and links separated out for each subject area. Try to do a few activities every day! Remember- Take Monday, April 13th as a "Ketchup" catch -up/recharge day.

If you are not in Green, you can use a strategy to change it:

  • Deep Breaths

  • Drink of water/eat a snack if hungry

Green: Focused, Calm, Happy

Yellow: Anxious, Nervous

Blue: Sad, Tired

HANDWRITING

  • Practice tracing/writing your first name EVERYDAY. Write it with shaving cream, chalk or paint if you want to switch it up!

  • Draw/Write in your Home journal. Below are some JOURNAL IDEAS for this week.

  • Draw/List "What I like to do on a rainy day"

  • Draw/List "What I like to do on a sunny day"

Letter/Sounds

Zoo Phonics

  • Encourage your child say the letter, sound, and make the action- we do this often at circle time!

Count 1-20

  • Encourage your child to count along!

READING

  • Below are links to a few books about SPRING Click on a different book each day!

  • Letter Trace ( in Preschool Packet) -Have your child say the letter and trace with finger or write. You can also put the letter mats in a page protector and trace with a dry erase marker. OR build the letter with beans or cereal, etc..

MATH

Try to complete one per day

  • Patterns: Make a pattern with Legos, blocks, cereal, noodles or color a pattern

  • Write #'s 1-10 on cards. Lay them out on the floor. Toss a bean bag or small stuffy friend onto a card and have your child read the # on the card.

  • Write #'s 1-10 on cards. Lay them out on the floor all mixed up. Have/help your child put in order 1-10.

  • Use your #'s 1-10 cards. Have your child match objects to the #. Ex: 2 Legos next to the card with 2 on it.
