Recommend a grant to Taproot Collective through your Donor Advised Fund (DAF). DAFs offer a convenient way to direct charitable dollars to organizations making a difference in your community. Ask your DAF provider to recommend a gift to Taproot Collective.

United Way of Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes

Support Taproot Collective through the United Way of Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes. Your workplace giving or United Way contribution can help fund programs that connect Rochester youth with meaningful employment opportunities while supporting community gardens and neighborhood food systems. New York State Employees’ Federated Appeal (SEFA)

New York State employees can support Taproot Collective through the New York State Employees’ Federated Appeal (SEFA), campaign #66-00547. The annual SEFA campaign runs from September 1 through December 31. Designate Taproot Collective as your charitable choice and help invest in Rochester’s youth, gardens, and neighborhoods.

Spotlight: RochesterWorks saves key internships:

In 2024, we planned to partner with Monroe Community College’s AmeriCorps program to employ our Summer 2025 Team Leader Interns. But when the Trump administration cut AmeriCorps programs across the country a few months later, MCC lost the funding that would have supported that partnership, just as we were about to send offer letters to candidates. We were left scrambling to preserve these crucial roles.

Thankfully, RochesterWorks covered the cost of employing our four fantastic Team Leaders, and we were able to operate a fully staffed summer program!
