I L E

I L E is a whole new classroom, the teachers are Mrs Howard and Mr Mclean. It is easier to learn and I have found it to be more collaborative than primary schools and you adapt to the learning space quickly. It is an amazing room where we manage our own time and some freedom to choose from the learning activities that we were given by the teacher.

We have three levels of agency :

Tamatea Pokai-Whenua:

Tamatea Pokai-Whenua: that you need extra help with learning and you stay close to the teacher.

Rongokako:

Rongokako means that you need help but not that much help in your learning. You can stay in the classroom and if you want to go outside you must ask if you're allowed to go out.

Tamatea Ariki-Nui:

Tamatea Ariki-Nui means that you are allowed to manage your own learning and go outside if you want. Sometimes you can even get a hot chocolate.

Last Year we had Plan old Teacher Levels Of agencies, But we asked the teachers if we could we design them. THEY SAID YES! We love having our student voice in this class! We made the levels of agencies like this because it is creative way to show our learning and because it displays the 3 Cheifs that look over our School.

I love ILE it makes me feel like I fit in and the teachers take primary school learning and make it into something that challenges you but in an easy way. When I first came here I wanted to leave but on my first day I loved it, the teachers recapped some of the things that I learned in my last year of primary. So what I'm trying to say is.
