4th Grade

Welcome to Fourth Grade Art! Fourth grade students will continue developing their artistic abilities through creative exploration, thoughtful design, and skill-building activities. Artists will work with a variety of media including drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, and mixed media while learning how to apply the elements and principles of art in more detailed and meaningful ways. Students will be encouraged to plan, revise, and refine their artwork while expressing original ideas and personal creativity.

Our lessons are aligned with the Ohio Visual Arts Standards and focus on creativity, artistic growth, and critical thinking. Fourth graders will analyze and discuss artwork from different artists, cultures, and historical periods while learning how art reflects history, traditions, and communities. Through hands-on projects and collaborative experiences, students will strengthen problem-solving skills, craftsmanship, and artistic confidence while developing a deeper appreciation for the visual arts.
