Introduction
This activity requires you to demonstrate your ensemble skills by performing live to an audience a substantial piece of music as part of a group. Groups can consist of performers from outside the class or school. The performance must demonstrate ensemble skills appropriate to at least a fourth year of instrumental study through group itinerant tuition. Improvisation skills will be assessed where appropriate to the musical style.
Task
With your group, perform your piece for the audience. In a quality group performance, the performers will:
· enthusiastically interact with each other
· respond to each other musically
· respond to the space in which they are performing
· respond to the audience
· display self-assurance
· perform fluently, with any errors making little or no impact on the overall audience response.
Your performance will be recorded on video for moderation purposes.
