Students can watch the video so that they know what steps they need to take to ensure their speech transcript reaches the appropriate level.
This is the generic mark scheme for all the different types of writing students might do in English this year: creative, formal, persuasive, analysis etc.
Extended writing that students can use from another subject will also be marked using this criteria, so it is likely that it will need to be re-drafted and crafted, in order that it meets all the requirements.
There is an exemplar from 2021 included in this teaching and learning sequence. Students need to read, annotate and analyse this piece of writing, before analysing their own speech transcript. There are clear steps to follow throughout.
Using a range of language features and sentence types, and a variety of punctuation, are crucial to keep writing lively and engaging for the reader, so there is revision included here and below.
