Students will each be given a copy of the novel to read in class at home. It is also available on-line by clicking on the link above.
The booklet contains tasks and activities which help students gain greater understanding of the context of the novel, its characters, themes and symbols. Students also explore Alexie's writing style, identifying the techniques he uses and their effects on the reader.
