Different to Level 1, where students had separate writing achievement standards, students now have a writing portfolio, where they choose two of their best pieces of writing to submit.
This is the generic mark scheme for all the different types of writing students might do in English this year: creative, formal, persuasive, analytical etc.
Extended writing that students can use from another subject will also be marked using this criteria, so it is likely that it will need to be re-drafted and crafted in some way, in order that it meets all the requirements.
