“Pants” Book
Fan-fold your paper into 4 equal sections: First, fold your paper in half the short way like a folder. Make sure to match up the corners and edges.
Fold the top page back on itself so that the edge is on the fold. See photo 1. Again, match up the corners and edges.
Turn the paper over and do the same with the back page. Open up the paper completely, and set it on the table so that it looks like an M on the end, like photo 2.
Fold the paper in half the long way. This should be a Valley Fold (pointing down). See photo 3.
Open up the paper completely, and cut up the middle the long way only to the last fold. See photo 4. Your paper should look like pants.
Fan-fold the short-way folds again, the same way they were folded before. Do not fold the folds the other way. See photo 5.
Fold the book along the last fold so the pages are out and the fold is in the middle of your book. See photos 6 & 7.
Decorate the front with drawings, interesting torn paper, tissue paper, pictures from printed material, etc.
Add your full name and grade to the front or back.
Make a page for each project. Draw a picture of each project and label it with what it is and the country or area it came from. Include Matryoshka, Rug Design, and any other projects on this website as you complete them.
