See below for the quality of drawing I am looking for.
Look for highlights and really look at the shape of the object. Pretend you are tracing the shape in the air with your pencil and draw that shape. Is it curved? How much? Is it shaped like a rainbow? More like a football? Where do shapes meet? If the object has a point, how far over or up is it? One third? Half? Is it bumpy like the border of a country on a map? Wiggle your hand as you draw!
