Select to Speak
Select to Speak provides synthesized speech on an "as needed" basis. This is good for students that may need some assistance reading a page or English Language Learners that may need additional support.
Once you select "Select to Speak" in the accessibility options you will see a small speaker icon on your toolbar on the bottom right
Click on the icon and then select a line of text or drag the pointer over the area of screen you need read. The words are highlighted as they are spoken.
Or use the touchscreen: click on the the icon, then tap a line of text or drag your finger over an area of the screen.
