Engagement
Engaging with our professional community, but also outside our bubble is critical to our work and moving sustainability forward. We love to engage in the course of our work, after our work is done on important things we've learned, but also as the focus of our work - facilitation and meeting/workshop design, but also by offering instruction. Sitting at the desk and writing up scintillating technical analysis has its value, but getting out and working with people is good fun.
To the left is Dr. Chris Joseph presenting at IAIA'22 in Vancouver in April of 2022 on the state of things in economic impact assessment. A colleague snapped this photo, saying "here's evidence of your talk obstructing passage in the hall. I did not see the likes of this for any other talks." We're glad that people like to listen to what we have to say, because we think that we've learned a few useful things in the course of our work and we want to share it. Below you can find links to some recent presentations.
Examples of past facilitation work include work for the International Pacific Halibut Commission, Department of Fisheries and Oceans, and Transport Canada.
