English Literature A Level

Level: Level 3

Entry Requirements: Grades 5 or above in your GCSEs including English and mathematics. In addition you will require at least a grade 6 in English Language or English Literature.

During the course you will study a range of novels, plays and poetry from the literary canon with a particular emphasis on tragedy and political and social protest writing. You will challenge typical attitudes to explore the relationships that exist between texts and the contexts within which they are written, received and understood.
