Engineering Single Foundation Level in Engineering

Level: Foundation

Entry Requirements: Grades 4 or above in your GCSEs including English. In addition to the general requirements for access onto A Level courses pupils would be expected to achieve a Merit or a grade 6 in Engineering or a Design Technology related course.

Pupils will have an opportunity to demonstrate these in a range of topics including mechanical systems, computer aided design, project management and production and manufacturing processes.

Engineering Double Level 3 Technical Level in Engineering Design

Level: Level 3 Technical

Entry Requirements: Grades 4 or above in your GCSEs including English. In addition you will require a grade 6 in mathematics or science. You will also be expected to have achieved a merit or grade 6 in an engineering or a design technology related course.

This course provides an overview of scientific principles used by engineers to identify the most suitable materials for an engineered product, mechanical engineering systems and components. You will learn the process of engineering design and the role that manufacturing processes and systems have in the production of engineered products.
