ACT/SAT

Go to ACTstudent.org to register for the ACT on a national test date

Sandy Valley School Code: 363145

Students who are planning on going to college are encouraged to take the ACT at least once, if not twice, before applying to college. It is common for college-bound students to take the ACT once at the end of their Junior year and again in the Fall of their Senior year to try to improve their score. Students on free/reduced lunch can request up to two ACT fee-waivers between Junior and Senior years. Stop in the Guidance Office to request an ACT fee-waiver.

ALL STUDENTS WILL TAKE THE ACT FREE OF CHARGE IN FEBRUARY / MARCH OF THEIR JUNIOR YEAR. One of the paths to graduation considers ACT scores. This assessment will NOT include the optional writing assessment. More information will be available as the date approaches.

Depending on college requirements, the ACT can be a way to qualify for College Credit Plus dual-enrollment college classes.
