Summit Valley Trout Updates - Water Quality

This week Kalyena, Riley, AzLynn, and Genie were part of the water quality team. We would get the Fresh Water Master Kit which has all the chemicals to test the fish tank water. We take a sample of water out of the tank and put it in a capsule up to 5 mL. We put 3-10 drops of chemicals into the water to help us determine the levels of pH, ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, and water hardness in the tank. We were also responsible for checking the temperature of the water in the tank, which is supposed to be between 45 and 55 degrees Fahrenheit.
