Hello & Welcome to Our Page!
As part of a year-long study on how the health of the Columbia River affects us and our community, the middle school students of Summit Valley are proud to participate in the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife's School Cooperative Program. Through this program, students raise trout and salmon eggs in the classroom and release them into an approved body of water.
This year, our class is raising 250 rainbow trout eggs, which we’ll release this spring. To share our journey, we’ve built this website to document our learning and provide updates on the growth and progress of our trout. The students are also documenting their learning about the Columbia River as we progress through our science project.
Every page on this site—beyond this welcome message—has been designed and researched by the students in our classroom. We hope you enjoy exploring their hard work and learning about this meaningful project.
