The Beyond Move On When Reading Initiative started with a remarkable team of Scottsdale Unified School District Leaders and Innovators trying to do what was right for students against all odds and in the middle of a Global Pandemic. As new team members have been added, we continue that vision to do "Whatever it Takes, with Care and Kindness."

Leadership and Design

Beyond Move on When Reading was the vision of Margaret Serna, Executive Director of Title I for the Scottsdale Unified School District with significant input and leadership from the initial design team including Dr. Ibi Haghighat, Dr. Kim Guerin, Sheryl Rednor, Dr. Tim Fountain, Karen Brown, Lindsay Stollar Slovar, Diane Murphy, Patti Bilbrey, Brendan Wagner, and our Scottsdale Unified School District Title I Principals, Instructional Specialists, and Summer School Teachers.

Beyond Move On When Reading continues to evolve under the direction of Shawn Crosier, Francisca Garcia, our Title I Principals and Instructional Specialists and with the continued support of many of the initial design team contributors, including the support and encouragement of Margaret Serna, now Executive Director of Elementary Education.
