I'm Anabel Reynolds, and I work with adults who are exhausted in a way they can't quite explain — the kind of exhaustion that comes from years of being the one everyone leans on, the one who holds it together, the one whose own needs got filed under "later" so long ago they're not sure where to find them anymore.
If that's familiar, you're in the right place.
What I specialize in
I'm a trauma therapist with deep specialization in:
Complex trauma and CPTSD — including the kinds that don't show up in textbooks: relational trauma, parentification, growing up in survival mode, the trauma of never being allowed to fall apart
Working parent burnout — particularly parents and stepparents running households on fumes
The mental load of adulting — invisible labor, over-functioning, hyper-independence, and the cost of being competent
Military and veteran families — informed by years working with active-duty service members and military spouses
Anxiety, depression, grief, and the patterns that come with all of the above
How I work
I'm not a clinical therapist who talks at people. I'm trained in a handful of evidence-based approaches — ACT, CBT, DBT, EFT, trauma-focused therapy — and I pull from whichever fits you, not the other way around. Sessions feel like a conversation, not a worksheet. We'll laugh sometimes. We'll sit in hard things sometimes. You'll never be told to "just push through."
A little about me
I'm a New Yorker turned Texan, a stepparent to a sixth grader, a wife, and a household manager for two rescue dogs who believe they own the place. Outside of sessions, I'm usually deep in a fantasy series (Throne of Glass and ACOTAR own me), drinking coffee that's gone cold, or listening to Taylor Swift albums in the order the eras require.
I don't measure my success by my degrees or my caseload. I measure it by the people who walk out of this work no longer holding their breath.
