luke slabber ip INTER-HOUSE GALA

Since 2025, our Inter-House Gala carries even deeper meaning. In honour of Luke Slabber (Grade 7, Class of 2016), the event has been renamed to celebrate his memory and the lasting impact he made on our school community. As we gather poolside, we do so not only in the spirit of competition, but also in remembrance, unity and gratitude for the legacy he leaves behind. 

All Grade 4-7 Students will be supporting and swimming at the pool for the day. Select Grade 2 and 3 swimmers will join for the day to gain gala experience. 

Time:

08h30 Start. Please enter through the Sports Gate. The gates will be open from 08h15. 

Dress up: 

Students are to wear their house colours and add colourful accessories. Please avoid large name-brand items and note that this is not a civvies day. Please pack hats and sunscreen. 

Refreshments:

Birdies Tuckshop will be open for any refreshments and will have a table selling snacks and drinks at the Aquatic Centre. Coffee will also be on sale next to the Aquatic Centre.

Seating Arrangements:

All learners will be seated on the Grandstands in their houses parallel to the pool. Parents will be seated on the Grandstands at the top of the pool. 

Map & Parking:

Parking is available around the school. Please be mindful of our neighbours. 

Parents Race:

There is a parent race at the end of the day and we encourage parents to get involved. House points will be allocated to your child's house.
