Mental Health

On Tuesday 6th December, Vicky and Julia from the BEST team spoke to us about children's brain development and how it affects their behaviour. We talked about strategies that parents can use in the home environment to help their child develop a strong sense of self-esteem and grow with confidence.

Did you know, your brain is not fully developed until your mid-twenties?

At a young age, children learn to express their emotions, but their ability to make decisions about what to do next is still developing.

BEST run an after school club at St Vincent's each term. The club runs until 4:30 on Tuesdays for Years 1-3 and Thursday Years 4-6. To book a space click here.

Spring 2022: “10 Habits to Build Positive Thoughts, Feelings and Actions”

Our Thoughts, Feelings and Actions are all based around habits. From the moment our neurons ‘fire & wire’ our brains use our memories to form patterns of behaviour. This spring term we learn healthy habits to put into our daily lives, including, kindness to others, emotional control, accepting mistakes and learning to share.
