Recognising and Managing Your Child's Anxiety

Liz Ainsworth came to talk to us about the symptoms we might see when a child is anxious and she reminded us that a certain level of anxiety is normal! See her presentation below for more information and strategies for working with your child to manage their anxiety and build resilience.

The Childline website offers lots of advice, articles and videos. It also has some lovely games for children to play to help send their worries away!

Some lovely books that we have used in school are the 'Help Your Dragon....' range. These books put the emphasis on the dragon having a difficulty which you need to support him with, rather than focusing on the child. These can be found on Amazon.
