Sturgis Music Society: West

The Sturgis Music Society is an organization that connects all our music makers.

Any student in an ensemble (including the 9th and 10th grade choruses), club, or IB Music class is automatically part of the SMS:West community.

SMS:West also creates opportunities for student leadership and department ownership. Each year, the society elects four officers to lead the society and representatives to lead clubs and ensembles.

Officers meet bi-weekly to discuss program goals, organize fundraisers, prepare for upcoming events, and create opportunities for other students to apply and share their musical endeavors.

Representatives meet with officers twice a quarter.

The entire SMS: West meets quarterly (at the beginning and end of the year and before our winter and spring concerts).
