Ingredients for rice balls:
½ cup of cooked rice
⅓ cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
Pinch of salt
1 egg
¼ cup of breadcrumbs
Ingredients for creamy tomato sauce
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon onion diced small
1 clove garlic minced
½ cup of tomato sauce
1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon of heavy cream
1 tablespoon parmesan cheese
Recipe for rice balls:
1 )In a large bowl combine rice pareamsean, mozzarella and salt. Using your hand form rice balls making sure to tightly squeeze so they don’t fall apart.
2) Beat the egg in a separate bowl, coat rice ball in egg and breadcrumbs.
3) Bake in a 350 degree oven for 10 minutes turning rice balls after 5 minutes.
Recipe for Sauce:
Add oil to sauce pan and cook on low heat. Add onion and stir until translucent. Add garlic and mix. Once lightly browned, add tomato sauce, heavy cream, and parm cheese. Cook for two more minutes and serve.
