When I was younger I always loved to watch Giada's cooking show. I was in awe of how she moved around the kitchen with such grace and ended with the most beautiful looking meal. She would always use these words that prove her experience in the kitchen. In Elizabeth Acevedo's "With The Fire on High" Chef Amadi talks with Emmoni about the high praise that Chef Ayden gave of her, saying how he was told "she [has] a gift. [...] and its probably changed the lives of people around [her]" (Acevedo 290). Giada definitely has a gift in the kitchen everyone around her experiences the love time she puts into her meals even if they have never met her.
Arancini is something that I will always love. I feel like Giada would have an amazing recipe for arancini. The addition of the pesto makes this meal even more intesising. Pesto Arancini would be at the top of my list if I could make any of Giada's meals.
When I would watch Giada's tv show she would always talk specifically about how anytype of pasta or noodles should come out "al dente". The taste of the zoodles were so amazing but I feel like I could have made the texture of the zoodles a little bit better.
In addition to zoodles I made garlic bread. I always make garlic bread when we are having some type of pasta for dinner. I have always wondered what Giada's garlic bread would taste like. There would definitely be a ton of garlic and it would taste so good.
Sometimes for dinner my mom and I will have artichoke and it is always so good. We have never added any cheese to the top of it and that sounds very interesting to me. Cheesy Baked Artichoke would be number three on the list because it would be even better than I normally have.
Zoodles and Garlic Bread
1 tbsp olive oil
2 garlic cloves, minced
Pinch of garlic powder
2 medium zucchini
2 tbsp parmesan, grated
salt and pepper, to taste
Garlic Bread
One loaf of bread (If you have a recipe for this I would rather go off of that)
5 cloves of garlic, minced
A pinch of salt
A pinch of garlic powder
2 tablespoons of parsley chopped
Sprinkle of oregano on top
Zoodles
Slice the ends off the zucchini and place it on your spiralizer. Turn the spiralizer and create zucchini noodles.
Heat the oil in a large pan on medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
Add the zucchini noodles and toss them for one minute, just to warm through, then turn off the heat.
Sprinkle on the grated parmesan along with salt and pepper, give them another toss in the pan, then serve them up.
Garlic Bread
Heat oven to 375 degrees
In a saucepan, melt butter. Once the butter is half way melted add garlic into the pan and stir. Once butter is completely melted, wait 30 seconds before adding garlic powder, salt and parsley to the pan.
Take a pastry brush and slather the garlic butter around the bread
Sprinkle oregano on top
Put the garlic bread into the oven for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown and crispy
