A community service project I founded and am highly passionate about is "Training for teachers." This is an organization where I offer training dogs on zoom for $5 & all proceeds go to teachers in Africa to buy supplies for students.
Another project I am currently working on is a clinical study of people who are mute with down-syndrome and their physical and mental relationship with service animals. The study is to see what the psychology and physical impact service animals make on the Brain (more in-depth to the neutrons and psychology) by helping them throughout their daily life in activities and providing care to aid them in any way necessary.
I love to draw, study physics, and create graphic design in my free time! I run NAHS & NSHS with many peers and have done lots of calligraphy and art-related workshops to open learning opportunities for students at Apex!
This is a photo of my cousins two dogs, they are both so adorable and made online learning fun. They would just sit by me while I was in class and during breaks I could play with them. They made online learning way better.
Last semester was a learning experience for me and many others to get used to online learning. I found myself at first getting frustrated at my laptop for being too slow or having lots of distractions in my home to focus. I found myself not that interested in learning, and I struggled a bit with the lack of communication from some teachers. For example, in math, I couldn't fully understand concepts that well as I got confused, and learning math online was a struggle. Looking forward, I hope to have more communication with my teachers and if I feel I am struggling with a concept, to get help/reach out to my teachers more. Overall, I can't wait to go back in person, but would miss getting my dog to sit by me all day.
